vpn.gold collects five (5) types of data depending on your usage of our Services, as described below. You can find detailed information on each in the dedicated sections that follow. If you are simply browsing our Site, refer to Section 7.

(i) Personal data submitted in connection with your Account (“Personal Data”)

Personal Data refers to any information that can uniquely identify an individual. We collect Personal Data to provide you with our Services, prevent fraudulent signups or account hijacking, and this may include your name, email address, and payment information provided during the creation or update of your Account.

(ii) Aggregated Apps and VPN connection summary statistics (“Usage Statistics Data”)

We collect a minimal amount of Usage Statistics Data to maintain high-quality customer support and service. This data does not include users’ browsing or internet activities. We do not collect or store data about VPN traffic destinations, DNS queries, or user IP addresses.

(iii) Data added to vpn.gold Keys (“Keys Data”) (for vpn.gold Keys users)

Keys Data refers to all information stored within vpn.gold Keys associated with your Account, including user logins, passwords, and other data you choose to store. This data is encrypted upon being added to vpn.gold Keys, and we cannot access or view it under any circumstances.

(iv) Anonymous App diagnostics, including crash reports (“App Diagnostic Data”) (optional)

App Diagnostic Data includes crash reports, usability diagnostics, and VPN connection diagnostics. This anonymized data cannot be traced back to individual users. You must opt-in to send App Diagnostic Data through your Apps' settings.

(v) IP addresses authorized for MediaStreamer Services (“MediaStreamer Data”) (for MediaStreamer users)

Our optional MediaStreamer service allows users to register IP addresses to authorize specific devices to use the service. This data is used exclusively to provide the MediaStreamer service.

Personal Data

vpn.gold collects Personal Data that you provide when creating or updating your Account. This may include your name, email address, and payment details, depending on your payment method. We use this data to provide the Services, communicate with you, and process payments.

Third-party payment processors (such as PayPal, BitPay, or Stripe) may collect additional data during payment processing. Please review their respective privacy policies for details. We also offer anonymous payment methods like Bitcoin to minimize the amount of Personal Data required.

vpn.gold uses your email address for the following purposes:

Keys Data

Keys Data, stored in vpn.gold Keys, is protected with zero-knowledge encryption. This means that only you have access to your Keys Data, and even vpn.gold cannot view or retrieve it. You can add, modify, or delete your Keys Data at any time through your vpn.gold Keys dashboard.

Usage Statistics Data and App Diagnostic Data

We collect minimal usage statistics and anonymized App Diagnostic Data to improve the quality of our Services. This data never includes sensitive information such as browsing history, traffic destinations, IP addresses, or DNS queries.

MediaStreamer Data

MediaStreamer is an optional service for devices that do not support VPNs (e.g., Apple TV). Users who register for MediaStreamer authorize specific IP addresses to use the service. This data is securely stored and used solely to identify authorized devices.

Cookies and Third-Party Analytics

We use cookies and third-party analytics services to enhance the user experience on our Site. These services may collect anonymized data for reports and statistics, but they do not have access to personally identifiable information.

Engagement with External Products
